Herbert Skreinig is German patent attorney and qualified as representative before the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

As partner of MERH-IP his practise is focussing on drafting and prosecution of German and European patent applications in the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering. He also provides technical analysis in opposition proceedings and infringement matters.

He earned a master degree in aeronautics and aerospace with focus on flight system dynamics and aeronautical engineering from the Technical University Munich. During his studies he actively participated in projects for the Institute of Micro Technology and Medical Device Technology at the Technical University Munich . For his diploma thesis, Herbert developed an optimal CFRP-space frame joint for SGL-Rotec in Bremen, in cooperation with the Institute for Carbon Composites.

Herbert gained engineering practice in the aircraft engineering department of Austrian Airlines, Vienna, and worked with the DLR (German Aerospace Center) at the Space Operations and Astronaut Training facility in Oberpfaffenhofen.
