Schomiron is qualified as German patent assessor.
His main activities are drafting and prosecuting of German and European patent applications, in particular in the fields of telecommunications, including wireless communications, information technology, memory devices and automotive engineering. He further provides technical analysis in opposition proceedings and infringement matters and also contributes to trademark applications.
He graduated in microengineering specialising in applied photonics at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) also referred to as Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne. Subject of his master thesis, was a feasibility study on miniaturisation of optical tweezers by the use of microlenses and reflective elements for later use in lab-on-a-chip technology.
Prior to starting his patent attorney training, he worked as a scientific assistant and engineer in the fields of fluorescence microscopes and ophthalmologic instruments at the University of Munich, at TILL I.D. GmbH and at Ferchau Engineering GmbH in Munich.
Schomiron is fluent in German, English and French.
