Jens is currently a candidate for qualifying as a German and European patent attorney.
His activities are focused on drafting and prosecution of German and European patent applications in the fields of information and communication technology, medical devices, electrical and mechanical engineering. He also provides technical analysis in opposition proceedings and infringement matters.
Jens graduated from Heidelberg University with a diploma degree and from the University of Duisburg-Essen with a doctoral degree in theoretical physics.
Prior to starting his patent attorney training, Jens worked for 2 years as a scientific research associate at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute in the fields of neural networks and artificial intelligence and for 2 years as patent engineer at an international Japanese Law and Patent Office in Tokyo.
